Artist Statement
I want the experience of looking at my art to be exciting and thought provoking. I begin with a strong structure of perspective and composition, and over this I throw fast washes, globs of paint and whatever else seems to fit the need of the picture. I like to paint what I see, what I love and what I imagine. The subject matter is less important than figuring out how to make sense of the world through light and shade, color and line.
