Artist Statement
Nature inspires me to transcend the two-dimensional surface. I work primarily in oil or watercolor, often using an on-location watercolor as a reference for an oil painting completed in the studio. My work, whether representational or abstract, evokes the rhythms and harmonies of music, like the natural world around us. Take a deep breath, feel a new excitement, or discover a mystery within the frame.
